Awards & Scholarships
In Memory of William J. Ross
This scholarship will be awarded on a competitive basis to a student attending an undergraduate degree program. The scholarship amount is $1,000.00 and is for the Academic year 2021-2022
Each application will be reviewed by the Scholarship Selection Committee. The criteria will be Academic Achievement, Personal Characteristics, and overall GPA. The decision will be based without regard to race, color, creed, sex or national origin.
All applications must be submitted by Friday may 7, 2021 in order to be eligible.
Requirements:
- A member, or a child, stepchild, or grandchild of a regular (full) and/or associate member in good standing with ISM-Rochester
- Completed Application Form
- Applicant’s Letter describing why you are applying for this scholarship and what you feel will be gained by this particular course of study.
- 2 Letters of Recommendation from persons not related to you.
- Transcript – Official copy of applicant’s transcript showing grades for the prior school year from either High School or College/University or most recent course of study.
- Not a previous recipient of this scholarship.
- Applicants must be individuals whose primary residence [not address at school] is located in the counties that NAPM-Rochester services [e.g. Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne, Wyoming, Yates]. Call or email if uncertain.
Congratulations to Hailey Young on winning the ISM-Rochester 2018 Katherine A. Rhoades Scholarship!
Hailey has completed her second year at the University of South Carolina as a Biochemistry and Molecular Biology major with a minor in Spanish, with hopes of attending medical school and earning a Master’s Degree in neuroscience or in a field of surgery. She attained a GPA of 3.91.
